Raja Sekhar Thota is a seasoned technologist with over 14 years of experience in product development, including 5 years of managerial experience. He is currently working as a Manager of Software Engineering at CA Technologies, where he is responsible for different product lines, people development, change management, product delivery, and organization development. Raja has worked on some of the great enterprise products, including UIM SaaS, CA Test Data Management, CA Network and Systems Management, CA Configuration Automation, CA Server Automation, and Veritas NetBackup. He has thorough knowledge of the complete software development process and is able to take a project from initial startup and analysis through to completion of production deployment and support. As a part of the management team, Raja has made an effective contribution towards strategy and execution in various areas. He has successfully delivered multiple releases and has a track record of building high-performing and self-sufficient teams, which includes co-located direct reports as well as remote teams. Raja has taken initiatives in improving team productivity, product, and processes by having regular meetings with the team and individuals to understand their respective objectives and career path. He has maintained the lowest attrition rates in the teams. Raja has also been part of many recruitment drives and interview panels, recognizing and absorbing the right talent into the organization. He practices Agile methodology - Scrum model for product development for the past 4 years. Raja has a Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) degree from Pune University, and has comprehensive development experience on different operating system platforms like Windows, Linux/Unix and programming environments to meet the needs of the customers.
